The Carbon Farming Industry Forum is the key industry event convening stakeholders across the supply chain of Australia’s carbon market and carbon farming industry.
The Forum is hosted by the Carbon Market Institute, an independent, not-for-profit, member-based organisation accelerating the transition to net zero emissions.
The 2026 event will be presented as a two-day conference preceded by a day of carbon project site visits from 19-21 May.

2026 marks a decade of the Carbon Farming Industry Forum, highlighting the sector’s growth and the collaboration behind a credible, high integrity carbon market. Our 10th year is a moment to look ahead to scaling nature-based solutions, supporting regional communities, and delivering the sequestration needed for Australia’s 2050 goals.
Hosting our 10th Forum in WA showcases carbon farming across diverse landscapes—from broadacre agriculture and rangelands to Indigenous-led savanna burning and blue carbon. Being on the ground enables direct engagement with WA landholders, Traditional Owners, researchers, corporates, and government, offering insight into local leadership and innovation.
The 10th Forum comes at a critical time, with Safeguard reforms, ACCU Scheme evolution, and the Nature Repair Market reshaping the sector. By bringing together our 135-organisation network with new WA stakeholders, the Forum strengthens industry capacity for integrity, scale, and co-benefits, and helps shape the next Carbon Farming Industry Roadmap.

Event Spotlight: Get out of the conference room and onto the ground with our Carbon Project Site Visits. These guided field trips offer a practical look at how carbon projects are designed, delivered, and monitored—bringing the policy, finance, and science to life.
